Our next meeting will be Tuesday 8 May at the Mount Vernon Library, from 18:30 (6:30pm) to 20:30 (8:30pm). The meeting is a business meeting for volunteers but is open to the public, especially prospective volunteers.

Proposed agenda:

• Brief introduction to visitors and new volunteers. Applications will be available
• Swearing in new officers/NCOs
• Report on meeting with Sheriff and with LC Emergency Management
• Discussing training availability and requirements, including annoucement of First Aid requirements as agreed with the Sheriff
• Planning for our June field exercise
• Bryan Hull as new Communications/Security Officer and setting up Communications section
• Discussion of equipping volunteers and possible workshops for producing uniforms and equipment
• Sponsoring and discussion of new officer or NCO candidates
• Scheduling the next regular meeting
• Other business
